K-ETA Requirement for Malaysian Passport Holders

For Malaysian passport holders travelling to South Korea for short-term visits:
– Travellers aged 18–64 are required to apply for a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) before entering South Korea.
– Travellers aged 17 and below or 65 and above are exempt from the mandatory K-ETA requirement.

If your passport is renewed, replaced, or its passport number changes after K-ETA approved, you will need to apply for a new K-ETA at your own cost. • Recency: Taken within the last 6 months

Appearance & Posing:
• Background: Plain, pure white and completely shadow-free
• Expression: Neutral expression with mouth closed
• Eyes: Looking directly at the camera
• Position: Full face centred in the frame
• Face size: Face should occupy approximately 70–75% of the frame
• Visibility: Ears, eyebrows and forehead must be clearly visible
• Headwear: No hats or head coverings, except for religious or medical reasons
• Glasses: No sunglasses or tinted glasses
